Yet, in a recent discussion during Rajeev Masand's Netflix Actors' Roundtable, the actress disclosed her initial wish to play Rani's character in the film. She revealed that despite her desire, KJo didn't comply with her request. In the discussion, the Dilwale star revealed, "I had disagreements during Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. I strongly advocated to play Tina's character, but Karan Johar insisted I portray Anjali." She continued, "I persisted, saying, 'I want to explore Tina's role. You have no idea what I could bring to Tina's character.' However, Karan firmly dismissed my request, even after a 45-minute argument."
